Weekend in Tuscany...part 2

..After "le Tour de Florence", it was time to rest our poor feet and have a refreshing shower, so we reached the holidays farmhouse I had booked in the Chianti hills...boy, it was really hard to find an accomodation for just 2 nights, as being high season they tend to rent rooms and flats weekly..I think I browsed more than 150 farmhouses' websites before finding the right one...maybe am I too fussy?!
Requisitions :
..it had to be very pretty......
....have a swimming pool surrounded by olive trees......

...with a breathtaking view...... ....it had to have a private mini garden......
....a room furnished in proper Tuscan style.....
....a restaurant, as you can get lost very easily while driving in the countryside, especially at night (we did even with the GPS!!!!)....... ...it had to have a farm...... ...this was an extra not expected!!!
Sorry for the fuzzy picture, but at the sight of this scary pig I started trembling, as I thought it was a boar and was going to attack us! I was completely wrong! He/she was very friendly and even wagged his/her tail!!!

This is a makeover of the pigs you saw above, he he........
...and the famous "Fiorentina", charcoal grilled steak, a thick cut from Chianina beef, a Tuscan bred cattle..this in particular weighed 1 kg!!! I have no idea how my cousin managed to finish it!
....fancy a glass of Chianti now?..sorry, not ready yet!!!

Now that looks like my sort of place!! I would have wanted to stay there for more than 2 days!!! Was the pool nice? The food looks delicious - It would be steaks all round for the heartshaped family!!

What a place, a dream come true! It looks breathtaking and mouthwatering..., I get hungry reading your post! Italian food...fresh as can be...good that you only had the weekend, otherwise you should have gained some kilos! Btw you only jump high if you set the bar high enough! No you were not too picky, you were doing this to make a terrific post for your readers right ;-)?!
Have another great weekend, love from a very rainy Holland! L.

You had every right to be fussy!!! I am sure the other 149 farm-stays or hotels try to sell you the same things, so it can be tricky.

Oh no... 1 kilo of meat... Did your cousin enjoy his steak?

I think you found the most perfect place. How did you manage to tear yourself away after 2 days? A return visit maybe?
